I don’t know exactly why, but for some reason in the early 1990s I went on a logo digitizing binge. When the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror opened at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 1994 the attraction became an obsession as the quality of the architecture, grounds, interior design and music shone through. Creating a vector version of the logo for the Hollywood Tower Hotel was a natural project.

The logo here is based off a scan of a door hanger sold in the gift shop the inaugural year.

    How, man… awesome!
I get on Vector kicks, too… I used to just collect them, not really know what I’d ever do with them. I guess, maybe, I would marvel at the fact they were perfect. One of my first illustrator drawings was the Reedy Creek logo. Now, I have a vinyl cutter and heat press machine. I may make a TOT shirt (or some luggage tags) today. 🙂
